Windows 11 Phone Link has recently undergone a notable change, introducing a new settings page that has sparked discussions among users regarding its functionality. The updated interface now restricts the ability to remove existing Android devices from the connection list, a feature that many found useful.
For those unfamiliar, Windows Phone Link serves as a bridge between Android devices and PCs, facilitating seamless file transfers, messaging, and access to photos stored on mobile devices. This integration is particularly beneficial for users who prefer managing their smartphones through a Windows environment.
Reports began surfacing on platforms like XDA Developers, where users expressed their frustrations on the Windows Feedback Hub. They noted the disappearance of the three-dot menu that previously allowed for device disconnection. Upon testing the Phone Link feature, it has been confirmed that users currently lack the option to remove a connected device. The only recourse available seems to be signing out of Phone Link entirely and starting afresh.
