Lost Soul Aside’s PS5, PC Price Could Be Its Biggest Bottle Neck

In a recent preview of the highly anticipated character action game, Lost Soul Aside, creator Yang Bing has classified it as a “AA game.” Despite this designation, Sony has set the price at £59.99/.99, a decision that may pose challenges for its market reception.

Gameplay Insights

Content creator Lunatic Ignus had the opportunity to experience a two-hour demo of the game, which showcased the opening chapter filled with multiple boss fights and combat encounters. However, he expressed concerns regarding the game’s overall execution, suggesting that it struggles to justify its price point. “The real problem [with] this game is that it doesn’t stand up for itself,” he noted. “At times, it feels very cheap with animations and combat. Most of us don’t think the game will be a general success because of the AAA price, even though the Chinese gamers are intrigued in it.”

While some aspects of the gameplay left room for improvement, particularly in terms of combat feel, there were elements that piqued interest. Lunatic Ignus highlighted that the game contains more depth than initially anticipated, drawing comparisons to the beloved Final Fantasy 7 Remake. He mentioned the inclusion of a town filled with shops and NPCs, hinting at a richer world than what was first presented.

As anticipation builds, the gaming community eagerly awaits further clarity on Lost Soul Aside, with its release date set for August 29th. This long-awaited launch promises to shed light on the title’s potential and whether it can overcome the hurdles posed by its pricing strategy.
