In the competitive landscape of digital gaming, Helldivers 2 has made a remarkable ascent, securing the position of the second highest-grossing title on Steam last week. This surge can be attributed to the recent launch of Halo-themed content on August 26, which propelled the game up 14 spots in the rankings.
Steam’s Weekly Rankings
Maintaining its dominance, Counter-Strike 2 continues to reign as the top game on Steam, while PUBG: Battlegrounds experienced a slight decline, slipping to third place. The gaming community also welcomed the debut of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which launched on August 28 and quickly garnered positive critical acclaim, landing in fourth place.
Meanwhile, the Steam Deck fell two spots to fifth, reflecting the shifting tides of user interest. Path of Exile 2 made a notable return to the charts, now positioned sixth, thanks to new content that has invigorated its Early Access RPG experience.
In the ongoing shuffle, Apex Legends dropped two spots to seventh, while pre-orders for Borderlands 4 climbed four positions to No. 8, ahead of its anticipated launch on September 12. The pre-orders for another 2K Games title, NBA 2K26, secured the ninth spot, showcasing strong interest from fans. Rounding out the top ten is No Man’s Sky, which made a comeback to the Top 100, buoyed by the release of the Voyagers content pack.
