Minecraft PS5 Version in the Works
The official Minecraft website has announced that a PS5 version of Minecraft is in the pipeline, and those who own the PS4 version of the game are now able to test an early edition ahead of release. Accessing the test simply requires you to boot up your PS4 version of Minecraft on the PS5 and head to Settings and then Preview. Once you’re in, you can sample the new Tricky Trials update, allowing you access the trial chambers, while helping the game’s developer reporting any lingering bugs.
The blog post notes that some features may change between this early preview and the final version of Minecraft PS5, so keep that in mind.
Minecraft originally launched in 2011 and is something of a global phenomenon these days, having launched on pretty much every hardware released in the past 13 years. It also has the distinction of being the best-selling video game ever with 300 million copies moved worldwide, and there’s even a movie adaptation in the works.
