Asus Begins Testing Windows Dynamic Lighting Feature on Motherboards
In a move to enhance user experience, Microsoft introduced support for Windows Dynamic Lighting features in Windows 11 Insider preview builds back in July 2023. The feature was officially added in a Windows 11 update in September of the same year, eliminating the need for third-party apps to control RGB lighting in PC hardware.
Initially, the feature was supported for select products from Razer, HyperX, Logitech, and MSI. ASRock later became the first company to incorporate Windows 11 Dynamic Lighting into its motherboard products in December.
Now, Asus has quietly initiated public testing of its Intel and AMD-based motherboards with the Windows Dynamic Lighting feature. Beta BIOS software has been released on the official Asus forums for AMD 600 and Intel 700 motherboard PC parts.
Since these releases are in beta, owners of supported Asus motherboards are advised to exercise caution before downloading and installing the BIOS updates. However, for those willing to take the risk with beta software, this release enables customization of RGB lighting colors, animations, and brightness in the Settings section of Windows 11 for Asus motherboards.

While awaiting further developments, users can anticipate upcoming Windows 10 and 11 Insider preview builds. Microsoft opted not to release any Insider builds last week due to the US Independence Day holiday. Additionally, regular monthly Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 10 and 11 are expected to be released on Tuesday, July 9.
