Android's App Pinning feature allows users to temporarily lock their device to a single application, preventing access to other apps and personal data. To enable App Pinning, users need to go to Settings, navigate to Security or Security & privacy, find App pinning, and toggle it on. To pin an app, open the desired app, access the Recent apps/Overview screen, tap the app icon, and select Pin. To unpin the app, swipe up and hold or press and hold the Back and Overview buttons, entering a PIN if required. App Pinning helps protect personal data when lending the phone.

Gemini could take a leaf out of ChatGPT’s book for this design update

The Avatars section will allow users to showcase existing avatars and add new ones. These updates are currently in testing and may not be rolled out to the public.

New Hidden Android Auto Changes Discovered As Big Update Is Coming

I4C warns against malicious Android apps from social media ads

Recommendations include regularly reviewing installed apps, keeping Google Play Protect enabled, and monitoring bank accounts for unauthorized activities. Victims of cyber fraud are encouraged to report incidents via the national cybercrime helpline or the government’s reporting portal.
