The journey of Deltarune began in 2018 with the release of its first chapter on PC, offered as a free experience. The second chapter followed in 2021, also at no cost. However, in a shift from the previous model, Fox announced that future chapters would require a purchase, emphasizing the value of the complete Deltarune experience. This decision aligns with a broader trend in the gaming industry, where developers seek to balance accessibility with sustainable revenue models.
After a relatively quiet 2022, with 2023 and 2024 hinting at progress but yielding little in terms of tangible updates, the announcement has reignited excitement among the gaming community.
