Polish gaming powerhouse CD Projekt has unveiled impressive financial results, showcasing a remarkable 30.7% surge in net sales compared to the previous year. For the quarter ending June 30th, the company reported revenues of PLN 424.8 million (approximately 9 million). This robust performance was complemented by a staggering 88.7% increase in profit, reaching PLN 170 million (around million). The driving force behind these numbers can be attributed to the success of Cyberpunk 2077 and its much-anticipated Phantom Liberty expansion, which had not been released during the same period in 2023.
Strategic Developments Ahead
Joint CEO Michał Nowakowski shared insights into the company’s future endeavors, revealing that the much-anticipated new Witcher title, Polaris, is set to enter production shortly. Additionally, the groundwork is being laid for another installment in the Cyberpunk universe, dubbed Orion.
CD Projekt’s Chief Financial Officer, Piotr Nielubowicz (pictured), elaborated on the company’s financial health, stating, “In addition to strong financial results, which – in terms of net profit – outperformed the comparative period by nearly 90%, we also noted an increase in our financial reserves during the first half of 2024. Even after distributing nearly 100 million PLN in dividends and allocating over PLN 150 million (.9 million) to new projects, our reserves still grew by more than PLN 55 million (.3 million).”
