In the latest weekly rankings, pre-orders for the highly anticipated Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero have made a significant impact, securing the position of the second highest-grossing title on Steam. Set to launch on October 10th, this game is being hailed as a spiritual successor to the beloved Budokai series, which captivated fans during the PlayStation era. The enthusiasm surrounding this release is reminiscent of the success seen with FighterZ, developed by Guilty Gear creators Arc, highlighting a robust demand for fighting games rooted in the iconic anime and manga universe.
Steam’s Weekly Top Ten
Maintaining its dominance, Counter-Strike 2 has reclaimed the top spot for the week. Meanwhile, the free-to-play MMO Throne and Liberty, developed by Amazon and NCSoft, continues to draw attention, holding steady in third place. Notably, Dota 2 has made a triumphant return to the Top Ten, climbing from sixteenth to fourth place, thanks to a recent gameplay patch that has reinvigorated interest among players. In contrast, EA Sports FC 25 has slipped from first to fifth position.
Another noteworthy entry is the eagerly awaited Silent Hill 2 remake from Bloober Team, which has surged from eighty-fourth to sixth place following a wave of positive reviews. This resurgence has positioned it just ahead of Valve’s Steam Deck, which experienced a slight decline, dropping three spots to seventh. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has also seen a minor setback, falling two positions to eighth.
In ninth place, Diablo 4 has re-entered the Top Ten, buoyed by the launch of its new Vessel of Hatred expansion, which is set to release today, October 8th. Finally, rounding out the list is Black Myth: Wukong, which has slipped one spot to tenth.
