Leaked Designs for Minecraft Movie Surface Online
Production for the upcoming Minecraft movie, featuring Jack Black and Jason Momoa, has officially begun. Recently, leaked images of the movie’s designs made their way onto the internet, giving fans a sneak peek at how the beloved video game characters will look in real life.
The leaked images, although quickly removed for copyright reasons, have already been widely circulated online. Among the leaked designs is Jack Black’s character, Steve, sporting his iconic blue shirt and pickaxe. According to the leaked character bio, Steve is accompanied by a pet wolf named Dennis, who has been captured by the villainous “evil Magosha.”
In addition to Steve, the leaked images also showcase the live-action versions of various creatures from the Minecraft world, all of which have a fuzzy and endearing appearance. Fans were also treated to glimpses of the movie’s props, including trees and a rock wall.
Development and Cast Details
The Minecraft movie has been in development since 2012, with the project facing several delays and changes in direction. Filming for the movie was further postponed due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes but eventually commenced in mid-January 2024 in Auckland, wrapping up in mid-April.
Alongside Jack Black and Jason Momoa, the star-studded cast of the Minecraft movie includes Jennifer Coolidge, Danielle Brooks, Kate McKinnon, Jemaine Clement, Emma Myers, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen.
