Disco Elysium – The Final Cut is a role-playing game where the player in the role of a detective will have to find out what is happening around them and solve criminal cases. Like any role-playing game, the outcome of events, dialogues, and the character of your character depend on you. At the very beginning, you decide how you want your detective to look like. This choice affects the voices that will sound in the character’s head. We will have to communicate with these voices throughout the game.
Disco Elysium also does not hesitate to show all the “colours” of the real world. You will hear the topics of death, alcohol, political disputes, discussions about taxes, and more regularly.
Moreover, good RPGs have one thing in common: they can draw the player in for tens of hours. As soon as you start questioning passers-by, making new friends, listening to voices in your head, and engaging in gunfights, you will not be able to tear yourself away from playing the role of a detective with a midlife crisis.
