Flappy Bird Returns to Android Through Epic Games
Epic Games has been expanding its collection of Android games outside of the Google Play Store, and the latest addition is a blast from the past – Flappy Bird.
Flappy Bird holds a special place in mobile gaming history, alongside classics like JetPack Joyride and Angry Birds. Despite its simplicity, the game captured the attention of players for hours on end.
After disappearing from Android devices for some time, Flappy Bird is making a comeback through the Epic Games Store app. The game will be available for free, supported by in-game ads. The developers have assured players that the game will receive ongoing support and updates.
Unlike previous attempts to integrate Web3 elements into the game, Flappy Bird will stick to its roots with traditional ad-based monetization and in-app purchases. While details on purchases are still unclear, there is speculation about the introduction of “f-bucks” in the game.
To access the Epic Games app on Android, users will need to download it directly from the company’s website, bypassing the Google Play Store. For a step-by-step guide on how to do this, be sure to check out our article.
