Fireshine taps Jasper Tanner-Barnes as chief portfolio officer

Fireshine Games, a prominent UK-based publisher, has made a strategic move by appointing Jasper Tanner-Barnes as its chief portfolio officer. This newly-established position reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing its relationships within the gaming industry.

Jasper Tanner-Barnes: A Proven Leader in Game Development

Tanner-Barnes joins Fireshine after an impressive five-and-a-half-year tenure at Team17. His journey began in 2019 as the talent acquisition manager, where he quickly demonstrated his capabilities. Just two years later, he was elevated to lead the label’s game scouting division, showcasing his keen eye for potential in the gaming landscape.

Before his time at Team17, Tanner-Barnes honed his skills in recruitment at notable companies such as Ubisoft Leamington and Sega Hardlight. His diverse background in the gaming industry positions him uniquely to contribute to Fireshine’s vision.

Brian Foote, CEO of Fireshine Games, expressed enthusiasm about Tanner-Barnes’ arrival, stating, “We’re delighted to be able to welcome Jasper to Fireshine Games. The knowledge, passion, and experience he brings will help us build deeper relationships with developers and partners and take Fireshine Games towards the next chapter in our journey.”

This appointment comes on the heels of Foote’s own promotion to CEO in February, a role he stepped into after a successful career at both Team17 and Sony. With these leadership changes, Fireshine Games is poised to navigate the evolving landscape of the gaming industry with renewed vigor and insight.
