GOG, the digital distribution platform renowned for its commitment to preserving gaming history, has expanded its Preservation Program, initially launched in November 2024. This initiative, which champions a DRM-free experience, now includes an impressive selection of 100 games, ensuring that these beloved titles remain accessible and playable on contemporary systems with dedicated technical support.
Each game included in this program is proudly labeled as a ‘Good Old Game’ within the GOG store. Recently, GOG has added 10 new titles to this distinguished list, featuring classics such as The Wolf Among Us and The Last Express. The aim of the Preservation Program is clear: to guarantee that these games are maintained in their optimal form, complete with necessary updates to ensure smooth operation on modern hardware, thereby securing their legacy for future generations.

Among the notable classics already included in the program are Fallout, The Witcher 1+2, RollerCoaster Tycoon, Dungeon Keeper, and Resident Evil 2. Gamers can explore a rich catalog spanning six pages, each filled with nostalgia and timeless gameplay.
In addition to these exciting updates, GOG has announced that development has commenced on native support for the GOG Galaxy application for Linux users. While not essential for playing GOG titles, this enhancement promises to streamline the user experience, making it even more convenient for gamers to access their favorite titles.
