How to Tame Happy Ghast in Minecraft
The latest update from the Minecraft universe, the Chase the Skies Summer Drop, introduces a delightful new character: the happy ghast. Unlike their grumpy counterparts found in the Nether dimension, these cheerful entities are designed to bring joy to players. With the right approach, you can even befriend and ride these whimsical creatures, adding a new layer of fun to your gaming experience.
How to Tame Happy Ghast in Minecraft
Currently, happy ghasts cannot be tamed in the conventional manner that players might expect. Although Minecraft Live 2025 showcased these charming mobs, details regarding their breeding remain elusive. However, aspiring players need not despair; there is still a way to acquire these adorable beings.
The process begins with obtaining a dried ghast block, which can be crafted using 8 ghast tears and a soul sand block. Once you have this block, the next step is to waterlog it for 20 minutes until it transforms into a ghastling, a variant of the ghast. After this transformation, you can feed your newly acquired ghastling snowballs, and in another 20 minutes, you will have successfully created a happy ghast. For a detailed walkthrough, refer to our linked guides.
As you embark on this journey to tame a happy ghast, consider whether Mojang should implement a breeding system for these fluffy companions. Your thoughts and feedback are welcomed in the comments section below.
