Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 may have Denuvo on PC

Anticipation is building in the gaming community as Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (KCD2) approaches its release. Many PC gamers have been eagerly awaiting this sequel, but recent revelations suggest that the game may incorporate Denuvo anti-tamper technology.

Insights from Denuvo Games

The Steam curator group known as Denuvo Games recently shared an image indicating that KCD2 will utilize Denuvo, while also confirming that it will not be available on GOG. Interestingly, the official Steam store page has yet to mention Denuvo, leaving some room for speculation.

Deep Silver, the game’s publisher, has a history of employing Denuvo in its PC titles. For instance, Dead Island 2 featured Denuvo and performed admirably upon its release. Given this precedent, it seems plausible that KCD2 will follow suit.

While nothing is confirmed at this stage, the likelihood of Denuvo’s inclusion appears strong. The absence of an official mention on Steam raises questions, particularly since the game is already available for pre-order. Many are left wondering when the publisher will update the Steam page with this information, potentially coinciding with the announcement of official PC specifications.

Performance Expectations

Although Warhorse Studios has not yet disclosed the game’s PC requirements, Daniel Vavra, a key figure in the development team, has stated that the NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super should be capable of running KCD2 at 60fps in 4K with Very High settings. This insight provides a glimpse into the game’s performance on high-end systems.

Furthermore, KCD2 is set to support both NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR at launch, enhancing its graphical capabilities. The game will be powered by CRYENGINE, although details regarding Ray Tracing support remain unannounced.

Scheduled for release in February 2025, KCD2 has already generated excitement, particularly after the team unveiled a 25-minute gameplay trailer in August 2024. For those who haven’t yet seen it, it’s worth a watch to get a taste of what’s to come.

As the release date approaches, the gaming community is encouraged to stay tuned for further updates and announcements regarding this highly anticipated title.
