Minecraft Is Being Ported To Dreamcast And GameCube

Minecraft Coming to Sega Dreamcast

Minecraft, the immensely popular video game, is set to make its way to the Sega Dreamcast thanks to the efforts of A Flock of Meese. This unofficial port adds to the long list of platforms that Minecraft has been adapted for, although it’s worth noting that neither Mojang nor Microsoft have officially endorsed this project.

In addition to the Sega Dreamcast, A Flock of Meese is also working on porting Minecraft to the Nintendo GameCube, expanding the game’s reach even further.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a Minecraft-inspired game has found its way to the Sega Dreamcast. ClassiCube, another fan-made sandbox game, offers a similar experience to Minecraft’s Creative Mode on the console.

Since its release in 2011, Minecraft has become the best-selling game of all time, with an impressive 300 million copies sold worldwide.
