Minecraft is Getting a Native PS5 Version

Minecraft Confirmed for Native PS5 Release

Recent leaks suggested that Minecraft would be coming to the PlayStation 5, and now Mojang has officially confirmed the news. The game has been spotted on the PlayStation Store database, and a native PS5 update is in the works.

Although a release date for the PS5 version is still unknown, Mojang has launched a test version for those who own a PS5 and have the PS4 version of Minecraft. The preview includes Realms and the new Tricky Trials Update, but multiplayer and the store are not yet available.

Mojang’s aim with the preview build is to gather feedback from the community, identify bugs, and enhance the overall experience. There is no information on how long the testing phase will last or when the game will be officially released for PS5.

In the meantime, players can continue enjoying Minecraft on their PS5 through backward compatibility with the PS4 version.
