Now that I’ve learned the cost per shot of weapons in Arc Raiders, I’m an even bigger fan of my beloved Stitcher

Weapon Efficiency in Arc Raiders: A Closer Look

In the realm of Arc Raiders, the debate surrounding the best firearms is as varied as the players who wield them. While the Anvil boasts undeniable power, personal preference often sways the choice of weaponry. For some, like myself, the common Ferro emerges as a favored companion, but the true star of my arsenal has become the Stitcher. Its ease of use against opponents is unmatched, making it a delightful choice in the heat of battle.

Until recently, my affinity for these weapons was largely based on a subjective ‘vibe.’ The tactile experience of handling the Stitcher, Ferro, and Anvil resonated with me more than their competitors, such as the Kettle, Arpeggio, and Torrente. However, my perspective shifted when I encountered the analytical findings from Min Max Lab, a group dedicated to dissecting the mechanics of Arc Raiders. Their latest experiments have shed light on the efficiency of various weapons, revealing insights that are both surprising and enlightening.

According to Min Max Lab’s calculations, the Stitcher stands out as the most efficient weapon in the lineup. At level 4, it delivers an impressive 13,700 damage over 1,950 shots per full repair, translating to a mere two credits per shot. This efficiency dwarfs that of the Rattler IV, which averages 11,900 damage at a cost of 3.9 credits per shot. Notably, the Stitcher maintains its reliability across all levels, making it a consistently solid choice.

In stark contrast, the Osprey reveals itself to be remarkably inefficient. Firing just one and a half max ammo stacks will render a fresh Osprey unusable, a reality that can unfold in a single match against formidable Arcs or skilled players. Without considering its scope, the Ferro proves to be a more prudent option for those seeking durability and performance.

Then we have the Venator, an intriguing outlier in this analysis. This rare pistol, known for its dual-shot capability per trigger pull, is often hailed as one of the finest weapons for player-versus-player engagements. The numbers speak volumes, with the Venator capable of inflicting a staggering 16,400 damage and achieving an impressive 91 magazines per full repair. Its ability to deliver two bullets for the cost of one significantly enhances its value, making it cheaper to repair on a per-damage basis than the lower rarity Anvil.

While the statistics provide a fascinating glimpse into weapon performance, they do not encompass the entire picture. Each firearm possesses unique handling characteristics, varying weights, and the ever-present risk of loss in the fast-paced environment of Arc Raiders. Thus, the choice of weapon ultimately intertwines personal preference with the cold, hard facts of efficiency.
