Google’s Gaming Feature in Cars Sparks Criticism

Google’s recent decision to introduce gaming capabilities in cars through Android Auto has faced backlash from critics who fear it may lead to distractions on the road.

Many experts have raised concerns about the potential security risks associated with these games, warning that they could make vehicles vulnerable to cyber attacks.

Akash Mahajan, CEO of cloud security firm Kloudle, emphasized the importance of considering the expanded attack surface that comes with adding gaming features to cars. He stated, “The more functionality you add — such as gaming — the larger the attack surface becomes.”
