To access a locked application, users will need to authenticate via Fingerprint Unlock or PIN, ensuring that sensitive information remains secure.
Google has clarified several aspects of this new functionality:
- Notification content will be concealed when an app is locked.
- Widgets and shortcuts associated with the locked app will be removed from the home screen.
- AI agents and services that have been granted access to the app will still retain the ability to access its data, even when the app is locked.
For those looking to manage their app security settings, navigating to Settings > Security & privacy > App lock will allow users to view all enabled applications and make adjustments as needed.
