This shift not only simplifies navigation but also enriches the overall user experience by offering a fully native app interface, as opposed to a basic web view.
With this new feature, users will have the ability to view, manage, and take actions on their search history seamlessly. Whether it’s saving, sharing, or deleting specific items, the “Activity” tab empowers users with greater control over their browsing data directly within the app.
According to reports from Android Authority contributor Assemble Debug, the development of this feature has been in progress for nearly two months. Currently, it appears to be accessible to a select group of users, suggesting that Google is conducting a limited rollout before a broader launch in the upcoming weeks.
A user named Andrey recently shared insights into the new functionality, showcasing screenshots and a video of the “Activity” tab on his Pixel 7 Pro running Android 15. Notably, he accessed this feature without any special flags or configurations, indicating a user-friendly rollout process. Meanwhile, our own Pixel 8 Pro, operating on a slightly newer version, has yet to receive this update.
As Google continues to refine its offerings, users are encouraged to stay alert for the arrival of the “Activity” tab, which promises to enhance the way they interact with their search history and saved content.
