Instead, the company is now exploring the use of an animated raccoon character that will appear when users request weather information. This animation will overlay the music card in the Coolwalk UI, with the background adapting to reflect current weather conditions. However, this feature remains in the early stages of development and is not expected to launch imminently.
Looking ahead, Android Auto is set to receive a more substantial update, which was announced earlier this year. This forthcoming update is anticipated to introduce widgets and support for video applications, allowing users to watch YouTube clips while their vehicles are stationary. The rollout for this larger update is expected by the end of the year.
