Google’s Files Apps Will Soon Let You Create ZIP Archives – Talk Android

You Can Now Create ZIP Archives In Addition To Being Able To Extract Them

Google Files has always been a reliable option for managing files on Android devices. The ability to extract ZIP archives has been a handy feature, but now, Google is taking it a step further. Soon, users will be able to compress files and folders into ZIP archives directly from their smartphones. This new feature will make it easier to send multiple files and keep things organized without the need for third-party apps.

Personally, I find this new feature to be quite useful for everyday tasks. Whether you’re sharing vacation photos with friends or organizing your files, creating ZIP archives can streamline the process and make things more efficient.

Google Files Now Also Has An “Add To Collection” Option

In addition to the new compress feature, Google Files is also introducing an “Add to Collection” option. This feature allows users to pin folders to the “Collections” tab on the app’s homepage, providing easy access to important folders. While this feature is still in beta, it is expected to be released to users soon, offering a convenient way to manage and access files on Android devices.
