XReal Unveils Beam Pro at AWE Conference
XReal, a Beijing-based tech firm, has been making waves with its latest product, the Beam Pro, showcased at the AWE conference in Southern California. The 0 device is not your typical Android phone but rather a companion device designed specifically for XReal’s AR glasses.
The Beam Pro aims to deliver Google Play apps to the glasses in a 3D space, offering users access to their favorite apps, social media content, streaming entertainment, professional tools, and gaming platforms in an immersive AR environment.
Powered by Snapdragon and running Android 14, the device features dual 50-megapixel cameras for capturing 3D images and spatial videos. With a smartphone-like form factor, dual USB ports for simultaneous use with XReal glasses, and fast charging capabilities, the Beam Pro offers a unique and convenient user experience.
While the specs may not be flagship-level, with a 6.5-inch display, 6 or 8GB of RAM, and 128 or 256GB of storage, the Beam Pro’s NebulaOS software layer on top of Android delivers 2D apps in 3D, providing a fresh and innovative interface for users.
Qualcomm Senior Director Sahil Bansal praised XReal for making AR more accessible with the Beam Pro, with support from tech giants like Nvidia and Amazon Web Services. The device is now available for purchase in select regions and will be hitting Amazon next month.
