Your Galaxy’s Weather app just got a facelift: Here is what’s new

Samsung has rolled out an update to its Weather app, version 1.7.30.8, enhancing the user interface with several notable changes. Among these updates are new icons for the Pollen card, which now features distinct representations for Tree, Grass, and Ragweed, moving away from the previous generic leaf icon. This improvement aims to provide users with clearer information at a glance, although there remains room for enhancement in conveying intensity levels.

User Interface Enhancements

The Wind and Pressure cards have also undergone a redesign, introducing new graphics that may elicit mixed reactions. While the updated icons bring a fresh look, some users might find the older versions more accessible due to their clearer text presentation.

In addition to these updates, the Moon card has been optimized for space efficiency, with moonrise and moonset times now displayed side by side. This adjustment minimizes wasted space, allowing for a more streamlined appearance.

The Radar card has also seen improvements, now featuring additional icons at the bottom of the map for enhanced interaction. Users can easily access specific views such as the 6-hour forecast, radar, cloud, and temperature, each linking directly to relevant sections on The Weather Channel’s website.

These updates are now live, encouraging users to refresh their Weather app via the Galaxy Store to take full advantage of the new features.
