Google Contacts App Unveils Streamlined Redesign
In the world of digital contact management, Google Contacts has introduced a sleek new look for its Create Contact page. The latest update, which is part of version 4.30 of the app, offers a more intuitive and less cluttered interface for users to navigate.
The redesign, which has not yet been officially rolled out through the Play Store, was first noticed by an Android Authority contributor who managed to sideload the new version from APKMirror. This new approach to contact creation emphasizes simplicity and efficiency.
The core of the redesign lies in its minimalist approach. Users are now presented with four primary fields: first name, last name, company, and phone number. Additional details such as email, significant dates like birthdays, addresses, and labels can be added through new, conveniently placed buttons. The “Notes” section has also been given a more prominent position, encouraging users to add further details about their contacts.
One of the standout features of the new design is the “Favourite” button, which allows users to mark a contact as a favorite right from the get-go. This is a significant improvement over the previous design, where adding additional details required navigating through a cluttered screen full of input fields.
For those eager to experience the updated interface, it may require some patience until Google officially releases the update. Alternatively, users can attempt to sideload the latest version of the Google Contacts app to gain early access to the new design.
As the digital space continues to evolve, Google Contacts is clearly committed to refining user experience, making the task of managing connections both simpler and more enjoyable.
