Windows 11 brings back an old keyboard shortcut for Copilot AI

Microsoft has reinstated the Windows key + C keyboard shortcut for launching the Copilot AI assistant in Windows 11 with the release of update KB5058502. This update is part of the optional May patch for Windows 11 23H2. The shortcut was previously removed in June 2024, when Microsoft introduced a dedicated Copilot key and other engagement methods. Users can now use the Windows key + C for text chat mode or a long press for voice chat mode. Adjustments to the shortcut can be made in the Settings menu.
