Microsoft will soon let you say goodbye to Copilot — just not in the way you hoped

Microsoft is integrating artificial intelligence into Windows 11 with significant updates, including a new AI agent named Copilot Actions designed to assist users and enhance productivity. The update features a "Hey Copilot" wake word for activating Copilot Vision mode, allowing for a hands-free experience. ChatGPT now available on KakaoTalk, S.Korea’s top messaging app

ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI Inc., has launched on KakaoTalk, South Korea's leading mobile chat platform, marking the first outcome of the partnership between Kakao Corp. and OpenAI announced in February. Kakao introduced ChatGPT for Kakao, integrating OpenAI’s GPT-5 model into the KakaoTalk interface, allowing users to access it via a new tab. Existing users can sign in with OpenAI credentials, while new users can register with their Kakao accounts. The service offers free and paid tiers, with limited access for free users. It integrates with Kakao Tools, providing access to various services like Kakao Map. Kakao is offering a subscription rebate for the paid ChatGPT Plus plan until December 31 and emphasizes user privacy regarding chat histories and data management. This launch is part of Kakao’s strategy to build an AI-agent ecosystem, which includes the Kanana service currently in beta, utilizing the Kanana Nano model for user assistance. Kakao plans to roll out Kanana across Android devices in the first quarter of next year and has launched PlayMCP for external partners to develop new content. Following the announcement, Kakao shares increased by over 4.5%.

Google is doubling down on cybersecurity using AI

Google's AI security agent, Big Sleep, has identified a vulnerability in SQLite, designated as CVE-2025-6965, which was being exploited by hackers. Looks like a new wake word could be replacing “Hey Google”

Google may replace "Hey Google" with "Hey Gemini" based on findings from the latest beta version of the Google app. This speculation follows the introduction of Gemini, an AI framework, which has been hinted at through various projects, including Project Moohan, where users activate the assistant with "Hey Gemini." During the previous year's I/O event, Project Astra showcased Gemini as a multimodal assistant. Promotional material for the Galaxy S25 series also referred to Gemini as the primary assistant. Currently, "Hey Google" is still in use, but a formal announcement regarding this change may occur at I/O 2025.
