Lyrical Games and developer Plot Twist are collaborating on a new open-world roguelike action game titled Erosion, set in the Wild West. The game is scheduled for Early Access in spring 2026 on Xbox Series and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, with a full release later that year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Erosion features a unique mechanic where players can return after dying, but the world will have aged, affecting the narrative and emotional depth of the story. Players will explore a post-apocalyptic world dominated by a sentient rock formation called the Pillar, battling through destructible dungeons to save the protagonist's daughter. The game includes fast-paced combat, customizable vehicles, and a voxel-based world with destructible environments. Key features include timeline control based on player choices, an expansive open world with various activities, a diverse arsenal of weapons and skills, and physics-driven destruction.
