The latest update to the Gemini overlay on Android introduces a multitasking feature with a "Minimize" button that allows users to reduce the overlay into a floating bubble shortcut. This bubble appears after entering a prompt and generating a response, and it is anchored to one of six predetermined positions. Users have reported a bug that resets the bubble to the bottom-right corner when minimized. Tapping outside the sheet restores the bubble, and users can also use the system back gesture to close the overlay or drag to dismiss it. The rollout of this feature is currently underway for Android users.
