Microsoft 365 might’ve just given you another excuse to stay on Windows 10 for three more years

Microsoft will continue to provide security updates for Microsoft 365 apps on Windows 10 until October 10, 2028, despite Windows 10 reaching its End of Life on October 14, 2025. This extension is intended to assist users during their transition to Windows 11. While Microsoft 365 apps will still function after Windows 10 support ends, users may experience performance and reliability issues on an unsupported operating system.

Microsoft Build 2025: What to expect from Copilot, Windows 11 and AI agents

Microsoft's commitment to artificial intelligence and its Copilot initiative is ongoing, with a focus on AI at the upcoming Microsoft Build developer conference from May 19 to 22. Microsoft Confirms Upgrade Options For Windows Users With Old PCs

Microsoft has issued a warning to the 240 million Windows users still on Windows 10 that they will lose all security support for their PCs, urging them to upgrade to a secure Windows 11 PC, preferably the Copilot+ PC. While 500 million Windows 10 users can upgrade to Windows 11 for free, many face the choice of buying new hardware or operating without security updates. The deadline for Windows 10 support is set for October 14, 2025. Microsoft has been using full-screen pop-ups to encourage users to reconsider their setups, as only 20 million users engage with Copilot weekly compared to 400 million using ChatGPT. Despite this, Microsoft claims strong early reception for Copilot+ PCs, with 15% of premium laptops sold in the U.S. during the holiday quarter being Copilot+ models. A feature called Recall, which tracks user activity, raises privacy concerns for those considering the upgrade.

US court throws out FTC appeal against Microsoft’s purchase of Activision Blizzard

The merger, initially announced in 2022, received approval in 2023, allowing Microsoft to integrate Activision Blizzard into its portfolio.

Outer Wilds studio finally confirms it’s working on a new game but says it will be ‘years’ before it’s ready to share details

Mobius Digital has announced a new project, six years after the release of Outer Wilds, during the final major update for the game. The studio indicated that further details about the new game will not be available for some time, stating, "It's gonna be a while, on the order of years, before we have any details to share about it." The update includes various gameplay enhancements, art and visuals improvements, user interface adjustments, text and localization updates, and PC-specific changes. Mobius Digital has no further major updates planned for Outer Wilds or Echoes of the Eye as they focus on their next game.

Split Fiction has sold 4m copies

Split Fiction has sold over four million copies, as announced by Electronic Arts (EA) in its financial report for the quarter ending March 2025. EA's CEO, Andrew Wilson, noted that the game exceeded expectations and gained global attention. The game sold one million copies within 48 hours of release and reached two million in its first week.
