Google announced the rollout of weather applications for Android Auto and Android Automotive, starting with "Weather & Radar" in February 2023 and followed by "MyRadar" in February 2024. The initiative is part of an "early access" program launched in May 2023, which aims to create a dedicated "Weather" category on both platforms. In September 2023, Google introduced The Weather Channel app for Android Automotive, but it received lukewarm reviews. The weather app category remains in early access, and developers cannot publish weather apps for Android Auto or Android Automotive without participating in this program. There have been no significant updates or new weather app releases since mid-2023.

Google has introduced a new category for weather apps in Android Auto and Android Automotive, allowing users to access real-time weather information based on their location or travel routes. The supported app categories now include Media (audio), Messaging, Navigation, Point of Interest (POI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Weather. For parked vehicles, additional categories like Video, Games, and Browsers are available exclusively on Android Automotive OS. The Weather category is currently in beta, limited to specific testing tracks, and aims to provide weather updates along with navigation functionalities. Early adopters of this category include "Weather & Radar" and "MyRadar Weather Radar."

Google Keep will transition to a system app in Android 16, as reported by Android Police. This change means it will be pre-installed on devices running Android 16 and cannot be removed through standard methods. The designation as a system app grants Google Keep enhanced privileges, allowing it to access features and data unavailable to third-party applications. Users may also see new functionalities, such as the ability to take notes directly from the lock screen, due to this transition.

Microsoft has added the PC versions of three Call of Duty titles—Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare—to the Microsoft Store. Additionally, four more Call of Duty titles—Call of Duty: Ghosts, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: WWII, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III—have also appeared on the Microsoft Store. The pricing for these games is consistent with market rates, and the store pages indicate that cross-platform multiplayer is not supported. Xbox Achievements and cloud saves are available, but Xbox Play Anywhere is not included. There is speculation about a potential influx of Call of Duty games in the Xbox Game Pass library for 2024.
