Finji announces arcade game collection CorgiSpace for PC, now available

Finji has released CorgiSpace, a collection of small arcade video games for PC and Mac on platforms like Steam and itch.io, priced at .99 / £4.29 / €4.99. The games are created using the PICO-8 game engine and are designed for quick play sessions under an hour. CorgiSpace includes over a dozen games, such as Kuiper Cargo, Cave of Cards, Mole Mole, Dino Sort, and Rat Dreams, each with unique gameplay mechanics. To celebrate the launch, Finji is hosting CorgiJam, a game jam from December 10, 2025, to January 11, 2026, culminating in a live-streamed event on January 19, 2026, where submitted games will be played and commented on by the Finji team and special guests.

ININ Games has announced R-Type Dimensions III, coming to PC in May 2026

I played communist Germany’s only arcade cabinet and you can too, comrade

The Poly-Play is an arcade cabinet created in East Germany in 1985 by VEB Polytechnik Karl-Marx-Stadt, and it is the only arcade machine produced during the GDR's existence. It features a monitor from a German television and a cabinet made by a furniture maker. The machine is powered by the U880 microprocessor and offers eight games: Hirschjagd (Deer Hunt), Hase und Wolf (Hare and Wolf), Absfahrtslauf (Downhill), Schmetterlinge (Butterflies), Schießbude (Shooting Gallery), Autorennen (Motor Race), Merkspiel (Memory Game), and Wasserrohrbruch (Water Pipe Burst). Wasserrohrbruch was recognized as PC Gamer's Game of the Year for 1985. The Poly-Play was priced at 50 pfennigs, and children found a way to trick the machine into extending their playtime by inserting a single pfennig.
