The 1995 PC racing game Screamer is being revived, with a teaser trailer recently unveiled at The Game Awards 2024. The original game was known for its arcade racing experience and was one of the first titles requiring a Pentium processor. The modern version will feature a sci-fi narrative exploring themes of human will, revenge, love, and greed, with players participating in a street racing tournament led by a mysterious figure voiced by Troy Baker. Cutscenes are being created by Polygon Pictures, a renowned Japanese animation studio. The game is being developed by Milestone and is set to be released in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
