Ubisoft has addressed compatibility issues with some of its games on Windows 11 following the 24H2 update. Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora have received hotfixes that resolve previous Windows-related issues, although some performance hiccups may still occur. However, titles from the Assassin's Creed series, including Valhalla, Origins, and Odyssey, remain problematic, blocking the installation of the 24H2 update if detected on a user's system. Players must wait 48 hours after uninstalling these titles for the update to become available.

Windows 11 24H2 is expanding its availability, allowing more eligible devices to access the update. Users can download the update via Windows Update, and those with automatic updates enabled may receive it without manual action. However, certain devices, such as specific ASUS models (X415KA and X515KA), are excluded due to potential installation risks. Additionally, hardware using the Scanner Communication Language (eSCL) protocol may face issues. Gamers should be cautious, as some Ubisoft titles may experience gameplay problems. Users are advised to back up their data before proceeding with the update.

Ubisoft responded to criticism of Assassin's Creed Shadows from its Japanese audience, particularly regarding the inclusion of Yasuke, the black samurai, as a playable character. Despite a petition calling for the game's cancellation, Ubisoft emphasized that the game is a work of fiction inspired by real events and figures. The company apologized for any offense caused by promotional materials and pledged to ensure a thoughtful portrayal in the game. Assassin's Creed Shadows is set for release on November 15th, offering players a unique narrative experience inspired by Feudal Japan.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot plans to release more Assassin's Creed games regularly in the future, including remakes of older games. Guillemot mentioned that there are rich worlds in some of the older Assassin's Creed games that could be explored through remakes, with titles like Black Flag, the first Assassin's Creed, and the Ezio trilogy being potential candidates. Ubisoft has faced challenges with remakes in the past, such as the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake being in development limbo for four years. Guillemot emphasized the importance of releasing new games regularly while ensuring each offers a unique experience.
