Google's Recorder app is now available on the Google Pixel Watch, allowing users to record audio directly from the watch. This feature debuted with the Google Pixel Watch 3 and is accessible on both first and second-generation Pixel Watches. Users can transcribe recordings by pairing the watch with a Google Pixel phone, where they can select the recording, tap the Transcript button, and choose the language for accurate transcription. The Recorder app can function with any Android phone, but synchronization of recordings is exclusive to Pixel devices.

Build 27695 from the Windows 11 Insider Canary Channel introduces references to a feature called "intelligent media search," which will allow users to search for spoken words in local audio files and videos using a local AI model. This feature transcribes and indexes media content stored on a Windows PC, enabling seamless searches for spoken words. Users will need to consent to scan their media files, and an AI model will be downloaded and installed in the background for transcription and indexing. The feature's discovery was made by @XenoPanther on X (formerly Twitter). Microsoft has not yet commented on intelligent media search, which is linked to the Recall feature that faced privacy concerns and is set to return to Insider builds in October. Recall requires a Windows Copilot+ compatible PC with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and specific storage capacities, but it is unclear if intelligent media search will have similar requirements.
