The "Spring to Life" update for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, released on March 25, introduces a long-awaited pause feature for single-player local worlds. This feature allows players to pause gameplay, addressing a significant limitation of the Bedrock version. The pause function is only available in worlds owned by the player and will automatically resume if another player joins. Mojang is gradually rolling out the pause function over the next two weeks. The update also includes new animal variants and blocks.

Mojang has released the first major update for Minecraft in 2025, called Spring to Life. Some players encountered the "failed to find installed product" error when launching the Bedrock version, which Mojang has addressed with a hotfix. This error occurs when the Minecraft launcher cannot detect the necessary files to start the game and is not directly related to the Spring to Life update. It has been reported by players, especially after the stable release of version 1.21.5. Contributing factors include pending updates, connectivity issues, or bugs. Effective solutions to resolve this error include launching Minecraft from the Microsoft Store, checking for updates in the Minecraft Launcher, reinstalling Minecraft Bedrock Edition, reinstalling the Minecraft Launcher, checking the internet connection, and restarting the PC. If these methods do not work, contacting Minecraft support is advised.

Minecraft Java Edition allocates only 2GB of RAM by default, which can be adjusted to improve performance. To allocate more RAM, players should open the Minecraft Java Edition launcher, go to the Installations tab, select their game version, click the three dots for Edit, then More Options, and modify the JVM Arguments field from -Xmx2G to their desired amount. A minimum of 3GB is recommended, with 8GB as the upper limit for most scenarios. Players can check their system's RAM by right-clicking the Start Menu, selecting Task Manager, and viewing the Memory section under the Performance tab. In-game, pressing F3 opens the debug menu to check the Memory Allocated statistic. Unlike Java Edition, Minecraft Bedrock Edition does not allow manual RAM allocation; it automatically assigns memory based on system specifications.

Shaders enhance the visual quality of Minecraft by adding realistic lighting, reflections, and textures. They are available for Minecraft Java Edition but not for the Bedrock version. To install shaders, players need to download either the Optifine or Iris Shader extension, acquire a shader pack in .zip format, and place it in the shaderpacks folder within the Minecraft directory. Players can then select the shader in the game's video settings. Iris is noted for its user-friendly installation and quicker updates compared to Optifine. In-game shader settings can be adjusted for performance and graphical quality. Performance can vary based on hardware, and regular updates to shader packs may improve performance. Future updates to Minecraft Bedrock may reintroduce shader support through the Render Dragon system.
