Eyeblossoms have been introduced in the Minecraft winter update, found exclusively in the Pale Garden biome. There are two types of Eyeblossoms: Closed Eyeblossom, which yields Gray dye, and Open Eyeblossom, which produces Orange dye. To craft these dyes, players need to place the respective Eyeblossom on a Crafting table. Alternative methods to obtain Orange dye include using orange Tulips, Torchflowers, or mixing red and yellow dyes. For Gray dye, players can mix black and white dyes or trade with a Wandering Trader for either dye in exchange for emeralds.

To make black dye in Minecraft, you can use ink sacs obtained by killing squids or wither roses dropped by the Wither. Another method is trading with a wandering trader in the Java edition. Coal cannot be used to make black dye, and villagers do not sell raw black dye.
