Microsoft 365 Android Apps Let Any App Steal Account Tokens via Leftover Debug Flag

A vulnerability in several Microsoft 365 Android applications, identified as FlagLeft, was caused by a development flag left enabled in production builds, which disabled checks meant to restrict account-token sharing to trusted applications. This flaw affected applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Loop, and OneNote, allowing unauthorized apps to request and obtain user tokens without permission. Microsoft Teams was unaffected. The vulnerability was demonstrated by Enclave, allowing access to user emails through an unverified app. On May 12, Microsoft issued four CVEs for the affected applications, categorized under improper access control. The patched version of Word for Android is 16.0.19822.20190, and users are advised to update their applications. The patch does not invalidate already compromised tokens, so users should revoke these tokens and sign in again.

Custom Folder Name During Setup: Users can select a custom name for their user profile folder during the setup process. 6. Windows Hello and Other Changes: Optimizes the Windows Biometric service, enhances Windows Search, and improves storage settings and reliability for USB connections. The update will be rolled out gradually, with availability varying by device.

Unofficial script lets you install unreleased Windows 11 features without Microsoft Account

Microsoft's Windows Insider Program allows users to preview upcoming features, requiring enrollment via a Microsoft account. OfflineInsiderEnroll is a third-party tool that enables access to Insider builds without a Microsoft account by configuring Insider settings locally. It uses a Registry value called TestFlags to prevent communication with Microsoft's enrollment services, allowing users to switch between preview channels. The latest version, 2.6.6, supports new Insider channels and retains functionalities for managing Insider settings. Elevated privileges are required to run the script, which can be downloaded from its official GitHub repository.

The Surface Laptop Ultra is described as the most powerful AI-centric Windows laptop, yet it lacks the Copilot+ label, raising questions about the branding strategy. Initially, Copilot+ PCs were marketed as the fastest and most intelligent Windows PCs, requiring specific hardware specifications. The Recall feature, intended as a "photographic memory," faced privacy issues, leading to its retraction and redesign. In 2025, Microsoft integrated Copilot into various Windows applications, resulting in user backlash and a decline in the brand's perception. The Surface Laptop Ultra is confirmed as a Copilot+ PC internally, but Microsoft chose not to use the branding publicly, likely due to NVIDIA's branding interests. Additionally, inconsistencies in hardware requirements for Copilot+ PCs have created confusion among consumers. Microsoft may need to consider a rebranding of Windows as it focuses on local AI development and improving performance.

Marathon’s new PvE experiment is Bungie’s most genius decision yet, so make it a full mode already

Players can now access the new content from Marathon's Season 2 update after initial server issues. The update features a nighttime Dire Marsh map, which has limited visibility and requires players to use torches and gadgets. The experimental Sponsored Survival mode is a key highlight, available from June 2 to June 9, allowing players to explore the map without immediate threats from other players, aside from UESC bots. Solo Rook players will gradually join the match, increasing competition for loot. Interactions with Rooks are infrequent, leading to mostly non-violent encounters.
