The Configuration Center allows users to customize settings easily. Openbox is the default window manager, enabling theme and window behavior modifications. Lubuntu does not provide a straightforward method for sharing folders across a local area network using its default file manager. Google has begun rolling out the Material 3 Expressive design in the Google TV app with the update version 4.39.3356.780959673.5. This update includes design enhancements such as a larger banner on movie and TV show detail pages that displays titles and ratings in a center-aligned format. The buttons for Watchlist, Watched it, Like, and Dislike have been redesigned without circular borders, and the Ratings section shortcuts have adopted a pill-shaped form. Image previews in the Top Stories section now have rounded corners, and the Important Information section has been restructured into a clearer two-column layout. Not all changes from the Material 3 framework are included in this release, and user feedback will be important for future updates.

Mojang has reintroduced the Copper Golem, a character that lost the 2021 Mob Vote, as part of the latest Bedrock Preview update. Players can summon the Copper Golem by placing a carved pumpkin on a copper block, which also introduces the Copper Chest. The Copper Golem retrieves items from nearby Copper Chests and deposits them into standard chests. It can carry a maximum of 16 identical items and has a range of 15 blocks. The Copper Golem does not deposit into barrels, shulker boxes, hoppers, or dispensers, and unstackable enchanted gear can only be deposited if the enchantments match. Mojang has also introduced a complete set of copper tools and armor, including items like the Copper Axe, Hoe, Pickaxe, Shovel, Sword, Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots. Copper gear has the same damage values as stone but offers higher durability and better enchantability. Copper tools cannot mine redstone, gold, emeralds, or diamond ore, but they are more durable and faster than stone tools. Copper gear does not undergo oxidation, unlike copper blocks and golems. The preview is available for testing on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10/11, and other compatible Bedrock platforms without needing to opt in via the Xbox Insider Hub. Players need a copy of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition to participate. Mojang's content rollout strategy now introduces features through Bedrock Previews before announcing them alongside Java updates, with Java snapshots expected to follow in a few weeks and a full release potentially in the next three to five months.

A new tapjacking technique called TapTrap can exploit user interface animations on Android devices, bypassing the permission system and potentially allowing access to sensitive data or harmful actions. TapTrap operates with zero-permission applications, layering a transparent activity over a malicious one. This vulnerability exists in both Android 15 and 16. Developed by researchers from TU Wien and the University of Bayreuth, TapTrap manipulates activity transitions using custom low-opacity animations, making risky prompts nearly invisible to users. An analysis of nearly 100,000 apps revealed that 76% are vulnerable to TapTrap due to specific conditions related to activity launching and animation handling. The attack has been confirmed on Android 16, including tests on a Google Pixel 8a. GrapheneOS has acknowledged its vulnerability to TapTrap and plans to include a fix in its next release. Google is aware of the issue and intends to address it in a future update.
