The Fortnite Overwatch collab is playing it safe, but at least it’s finally real

Fortnite has collaborated with Overwatch, introducing characters Tracer, Mercy, D.Va, and Genji into the game. This collaboration is part of the tenth-anniversary celebrations of Overwatch. The characters are featured in a trailer where they confront the Ice King's forces, with notable lines such as "Heroes never die" from Mercy and "The cavalry's here!" from Tracer. D.Va uses a sword instead of her mech suit, and Genji remains silent. The collaboration will include four new Fortnite skins, three emotes, new weapons, fresh landmarks, Overwatch NPCs in battle royale mode, quests and rewards, and a Porsche Cayenne SUV with Overwatch decals. The launch is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, as part of Chapter 7 Season 2 Act 3.

Age of Empire 4’s new DLC drops today, and the Jin Dynasty is a beautifully-realized civ

Age of Empires 4's latest expansion, Yue Fei's Legacy, introduces a new campaign featuring eight missions centered on the general Yue Fei and his ally Han Shizhong, tasked with protecting the Song Dynasty's last prince from Jin forces. The campaign begins with the Jiankang Incident of 1127 and includes various challenges such as evading Jin pursuers and reclaiming territory. The expansion also adds the Jin Dynasty as a new civilization, characterized by efficient horse-mounted villagers and the elite Iron Pagoda cavalry units. The Jin Dynasty features a unique defensive mechanism called the Meng'an Mouke Emplacement, which automatically deploys defensive cavalry units when enemies approach.

Age of Empires 4’s next chapter tests your will to survive as the “ruthless” Jin Dynasty arrive

The Age of Empires 4 DLC titled "Yue Fei's Legacy" introduces the Jin Dynasty as a new faction, characterized as "fast and ruthless." Players will initially face the Jin as adversaries in an eight-mission campaign where they lead the Song Dynasty, commanded by Yue Fei, against the invading Jin forces. The Jin Dynasty features strengths in cavalry and siege capabilities, utilizing Horse Grasslands for military production and introducing elite units like Iron Pagoda cavalry and Mohe Tribesman. Strategic elements include Mounted Villagers for resource gathering and Emissaries for capturing settlements. The use of gunpowder becomes significant in later stages, with the addition of Mounted Grenadiers and Eruptors.
