Riot Games Launches League of Legends 2026 Season 1 PC Café Event With Free Rewards, Skins and Esports Prizes

Riot Games has launched its first PC café promotion of 2026, coinciding with the Season 1 update for League of Legends. The promotion, running until January 21, offers in-game rewards, trial cosmetics, and sweepstakes for players at participating PC cafés. Players can earn tiered rewards based on playtime, with those logging 20 hours receiving up to 15 Hextech Chest and Key sets. Participants are also entered into prize drawings for tickets to major esports events. A separate reward track is available for ranked victories, offering randomized rewards. Additionally, players will have temporary access to 15 champion skins from the Demacia region until January 30.

Luna January Content Update

Prime members can access over 50 games through Luna, including a rotating selection of downloadable PC games each month. How League of Legends is still China’s top PC game after 15 years

Riot Games' League of Legends remains the most popular PC game in China, nearly 15 years after its launch in 2009 and its entry into the Chinese market in 2011. The game's success is largely attributed to its vibrant esports ecosystem, highlighted by a recent world championship tournament in Chengdu, China, where South Korean team T1 won their third consecutive title and sixth overall in a five-match series against KT Rolster. Analyst Zhang Shule noted that successful esports games can have lifespans measured in decades.
