Path of Exile 3.27 introduces the 'Keepers of the Flame' league, marking it as the first sequel league in the game's history. The update enhances gameplay and introduces new mechanics for character modification and unique gear acquisition at no cost. The 'Keepers of the Flame' is described as a sequel to the Breach league, integrating its mechanics into the early campaign stages. Players will encounter Keepers defending Wraeclast from Breachlords, aided by a character named Ailith. Players can complete challenges to access the Monastery of the Keepers and the Genesis Tree, which allows for character modifications through Grafts that provide passive benefits or active skills. The update also introduces Bloodlines, granting players powers from iconic bosses, and features upgraded pinnacle boss battles. Asynchronous trading has been added, along with quality-of-life improvements such as mass item identification, disenchanting items in towns, and the ability to respec the Atlas passive tree with gold. Path of Exile 3.27 is set to launch on October 31 and is available for free on Steam or through the standalone client.
