S&box, a first-person shooter and successor to Garry's Mod, offers a map editor and sandbox mode for constructing vehicles, but does not fully meet the expectations set by its predecessor. The innovative toolset that empowered modders in Garry's Mod is less prominent in S&box, which introduces a business model that may disappoint fans of the original's community-driven content. Currently, S&box faces technical challenges, including a low success rate for multiplayer server connections at around 30%. The front page features remakes of classic Garry's Mod games like Prop Hunt, highlighting ongoing nostalgia for the original.

The Gothic game series is a predecessor to modern RPGs like Kingdom Come: Deliverance and The Witcher, known for its immersive open-world design. In the original Gothic, players acquired maps through in-game means rather than using icons, emphasizing realism. Alkimia Interactive is remaking Gothic, maintaining this authenticity by not including a minimap, as stated by game director Reinhard Pollice. Players will need to consult the map they acquire to navigate the game world. The revival is set to release on platforms like Steam and GOG.

Wes Fenlon reflects on the legacy of older video games, particularly The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, expressing nostalgia for its innovative gameplay mechanics, including stealth and melee combat. He compares its level design to that of Batman: Arkham Asylum and suggests that Riddick influenced future licensed games. Fenlon notes the unavailability of both Riddick titles in the current market and speculates that Vin Diesel could help resolve licensing issues for a revival. He describes the immersive gameplay experience, where players embody Riddick and navigate a dynamic environment filled with various types of guards. The game features a mix of stealth and conventional shooting mechanics, with a variety of weapons, including a tranquilizer gun and the Scar gun.
