‘These kids do not care about romance’: Game devs want to know what today’s teens want, and surveys say sex and romance isn’t it

EDB Supports MERMAID’s Global Open Source Initiative to Confront Ongoing Coral Reef Crisis

The open-source application MERMAID, developed by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), is enhancing its capabilities for monitoring coral reef health with sponsorship from EnterpriseDB (EDB). The initiative aims to use advanced technologies like Postgres and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the identification and monitoring of coral reefs, with a goal of conserving climate-resilient reefs by 2030. MERMAID facilitates the collection and management of real-time data on coral reef ecosystems, and EDB’s support will allow it to incorporate AI algorithms for analyzing large datasets and predicting bleaching events.
