Great, now even Microsoft Paint can make AI slop

MS Paint has introduced a new feature called Restyle, currently being rolled out for Windows Insiders in Paint version 11.2509.441.0. This feature allows users to apply preset artistic styles to existing images, accessible through Paint's Copilot menu. Users can either incorporate the generated images into their Paint canvas or save them as separate files. Windows 10 support ends in October 2025: How to prepare for the upgrade

Microsoft will phase out Windows 10 on October 14, 2025, ending regular security updates, feature enhancements, and technical support. Existing Windows 10 PCs will still function but may be vulnerable to malware and compatibility issues. The Photos app now includes a Relight feature for professional lighting controls, while Paint has added a sticker generator and object select tool. The Snipping Tool has been enhanced with a perfect screenshot feature and a color picker. Copilot Vision allows users to share their screen with Copilot for real-time assistance. Windows 11 is introducing a recovery mechanism that reduces recovery time from 40 seconds to 2 seconds. These features will be gradually rolled out to consumers.

These features are available when the default language is English and at least 10 words are selected. Improvements include the ability to safely remove devices compatible with Dynamic Lighting and the introduction of a FAQs section in Settings to help users find information about their PC. Fixes have been made to the Start menu, File Explorer, Voice Access, Taskbar, Windows Spotlight, and Live captions. Known issues include problems with the PC reset option and Xbox Controller connectivity. Finally! Microsoft brings most Copilot+ AI features to AMD, Intel PCs

Microsoft has announced that all Copilot+ PCs, including those with AMD Ryzen AI 300 series and Intel Core Ultra 200V processors, will now have access to AI-driven features, previously limited to Snapdragon devices. Expanding Copilot+ PC experiences across AMD, Intel and Snapdragon powered devices

Last year, Copilot+ PCs were introduced as the fastest, most intelligent, and secure Windows PCs. Microsoft expands AI features across Intel and AMD-powered Copilot Plus PCs

Microsoft is enabling all Copilot Plus PCs powered by Intel and AMD processors to generate Live Captions, which translate audio into English subtitles in real time. This feature was initially tested on devices with Intel and AMD chips and is now part of the latest Windows 11 update.
