Microsoft brings a Linux-style window trick to Windows 11 via PowerToys, and I can’t go back

Microsoft's PowerToys version 0.99 introduces two new tools: Grab And Move and Power Display, along with enhancements to the Command Palette Dock. Grab And Move allows users to reposition application windows by holding the Alt key and dragging anywhere on the window, facilitating easier window management. Users can customize the activation key and toggle the feature off during gaming sessions. There are also options to exclude specific applications from using this feature. Power Display enables users to manage monitor settings directly from the system tray, including brightness, contrast, volume, rotation, and color temperature adjustments. It supports multi-monitor setups with DDC/CI standards and includes a Profiles option for saving specific monitor settings. The Command Palette Dock now features a compact mode and customization options for pinned commands, improving user accessibility and screen space utilization.

Xbox Insiders Can Now Stream Xbox Console-Only Games On PC

Microsoft has enhanced its "Stream your own game" feature, allowing Xbox Insiders to stream any Xbox game they own directly on PC. This update follows previous rollouts to TVs, browsers, and consoles. The feature is available exclusively to Xbox Insiders who are Game Pass Ultimate members and can be accessed through the Xbox PC app in 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming operates. Players can stream from over 250 supported titles without installation. The game library is expanding, though it currently does not include older Xbox and Xbox 360 titles. Microsoft is also promoting its Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, enabling gamers to purchase titles once and play them across multiple devices, including the upcoming Xbox ROG Ally Windows handhelds.

Stream your Xbox games on your PC via new update

Xbox has expanded its 'Stream Your Own Game' feature for Xbox Insiders with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, allowing them to stream select titles directly through the Xbox PC app. This feature is now available in all 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) operates and includes access to console-only titles and a collection of over 200 supported games. Xbox’s PC Game Bar Just Raised The Bar With Refreshed Quick Settings

Gamers are adopting Windows 11 faster than the general user base.
