Google quietly made Find Hub an Android app I can’t live without

Google has enhanced the Find Hub app by introducing a feature called the Remembered tab, which allows users to track items that cannot accommodate a physical tracker. Users can tag items, record notes, and attach pictures to help remember where they are stored. Instead of using a physical tracker, users can inform Google’s AI assistant, Gemini, about an item's location verbally or through manual entry. This feature is particularly useful for organizing items that are not frequently moved, such as passports or other essential belongings. Users can quickly add items by stating their location and taking a photo, making it easier to retrieve them later. The Remembered tab enhances the utility of the Find Hub app without requiring additional subscriptions or gadgets.

Google has started killing Assistant on phones in favor of Gemini

Google is phasing out Google Assistant in favor of its new AI model, Gemini, on mobile devices, starting September 4. Users are losing access to Assistant on Android devices, with the "Switch to Google Assistant" option disappearing from the Gemini app's account menu for many, particularly after updating to the latest beta version of the Google app (v17.62). This change has been reported across various devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, POCO F9 Ultra, and vivo X300 Pro. While some users appreciate Gemini's capabilities, others believe the transition is premature and that Assistant remains superior, especially for tasks like smart home controls and offline commands. Critics of Gemini point out issues with inaccuracies and hallucinations. The transition affects Google Assistant on mobile devices and accessories but will continue to be supported on smart speakers and displays.

Rogue Trader is coming to an end with miracles, madness and ‘tears of blood’

Stella is a character in the upcoming expansion of Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader, described as a delicate young woman with formidable psychic abilities. She is revered by the Ecclesiarchy as a creation of the God Emperor but is an unsanctioned psyker, which complicates her character due to the volatile nature of her powers. In battle, she can unleash psychic flares that cause area damage. However, she faces dangers such as veil degradation and warp instability, leading to a cycle of peril and madness. The expansion, titled Processional of the Damned, will introduce a new storyline and companion, integrating into the existing narrative. Stella's attributes include crying tears of blood, possessing unstable powers, being potentially heretical, and being described as a living weapon. Warhammer 40k: Dark Heresy is confirmed to be "coming soon," and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is also anticipated.

Tesla Optimus Gen 3 design possibly revealed in Android app

Tesla's next-generation Optimus humanoid robot, referred to as Optimus Gen 3, has been previewed through new 3D design assets found in the Android version of Tesla’s mobile app. These assets, which include renders labeled “gen3” and images comparing Optimus Gen 2.5 and Gen 3, indicate significant design changes. The robot features a cleaner aesthetic with enclosed joints, a unified torso shell, thicker forearms, slimmer wrists, and redesigned legs that resemble integrated boots. The assets began appearing in app builds around August 27, 2026, with higher-resolution versions on September 5. Tesla initially planned to unveil Optimus Gen 3 by the end of Q1 2026, but this timeline was missed. Elon Musk later indicated that the reveal was postponed to mid-year for strategic reasons. Tesla has also started auditing suppliers in China for Gen 3 production, suggesting a potential reveal is approaching.

Amarok: Allows users to instantly hide files and applications without resource-intensive encryption by obfuscating filenames and signatures. It supports multiple hiding modes and includes a “panic button” feature for quick data concealment. 4.
