Battlefield 6 is set to implement significant changes to its progression system, addressing player frustrations with slow weapon and attachment unlocks. Key changes include a 10% increase in match completion XP bonuses, a 40% boost in daily challenge bonuses, a reduction in XP required to unlock the first 20 attachment ranks, and revised requirements for certain assignments. The developers are also working to reduce the prevalence of XP farms that inflate player stats and disrupt gameplay. Additionally, changes to the Conquest mode will revert the starting ticket count to 1,000 and reinstate 45-minute timed rounds. The game is currently stable, with no major server issues or bugs.

Battlefield 6 has received positive feedback for its fresh approach to the first-person shooter genre, with players appreciating its smooth performance. However, there are concerns regarding the Conquest mode, which uses a 'reinforcement tickets' system that leads to matches ending when a team runs out of tickets. DICE has acknowledged issues with the mode's timer, stating that many rounds were hitting the time limit instead of concluding when tickets were depleted. Recent adjustments to reinforcement tickets on various maps include reductions from 1000 to 900 on Siege of Cairo, Empire State, and New Sobek City; from 1000 to 800 on Liberation Peak and Manhattan Bridge; and from 1000 to 700 on Operation Firestorm and Mirak Valley. Despite these changes, player feedback indicates dissatisfaction with the time limits, with some players advocating for their removal to enhance the experience of Conquest matches.
